What would we do without them? they prompt so many memories. Some people say they don’t like to rely on photos for memories – and I realise it’s sometimes nice to forget about scrambling for the camera if you see a Sea Eagle or whatever. But sometimes a photo will jog your memory in a way that takes you by surprise. Not necessarily an event in your life or even the place that the photo was taken.
The photo that did it today was an old one. There it was – the feel of sunshine on my face and the sound of birds and wind in the trees and hedges in the park. The rough feel of the ugly picnic blanket we brought with us and the taste of cold sausages and barbecue sauce.
The texture of grass beneath my toes. Sunshine. Sunshine.
Can it please be Summer soon? Please?
